Celebrate The World You Live In On Earth Day

Environmental issues are a problem; global warming, climate change, and pollution are three of many things which affect the world we live in. And while it’s easy to ignore these issues as we live our busy, day-to-day lives as students, we should take a moment to appreciate the planet we live on when we have the chance. Luckily for us Georgia State makes it easy and convenient to celebrate Earth Day (April 22) early!  If you’d like to honor and learn how to better our environment consider adding these events to your schedule:

Downtown Campus Recycling Competition

Have a chance at FREE Chick-Fil-A if your team recycles the most small and large items.

  • Date: Tuesday, April 17
  • Time: 11 AM – 2 PM
  • Location: Unity Plaza

Earth Week Festival

Enjoy a day in the sun with food trucks, yard games and giveaways!

  • Date: Thursday, April 19
  • Time: 11 AM – 2 PM
  • Location: Hurt Park
