This is one of the most important times of every college student’s year: finals. Now, this situation can either go one of two ways: you either pass (with flying colors or not) OR you fail. However, there’s no need to completely stress out over one test, because if you’ve been working hard for most of the year then you should definitely be fine. With that being said, checkout these tips on preparing for finals now that the season is upon us:
1. Study hard
Of course this is the most obvious task to complete when you have a test, but I just had to say it. Let’s be honest, taking educated guesses is not going to help you pass in college. Trust me, I know from first-hand experience, but you’ve probably already started studying right?
2. Sleep and eat well
Having a good amount of sleep is essential to making sound decisions during exams, and life in general. You don’t want to be half asleep taking a test and end up mixing up your answers, that’s a no go. And be sure to fuel your brain with healthy choices, or at least try to.
3. Change up your study routine
It’s always good to switch up your study routine as your location is beneficial to memorization. Reports show that the brain associates the material you’re reviewing with things going on in the background of wherever you are. And ICYMI, we shared the best spots to study on campus earlier in the semester.
4. Keep Up With Your Work Load
It’s easy to get overwhelmed with school work during finals, that’s why you want to make sure to write-down and stay on top of all due dates.
5. Relax and do not cram
Too much of anything could basically be detrimental to your grade and your health. Do not cram and know when you’ve reached a limit in your studying. Take some time to relax and set your mind at ease.
